Norman Frank has been teaching private lessons for over ten years, since receiving his Bachelor or Arts from Georgia State University in 2007. After a brief stint teaching in a music store, Norm decided to branch out, offering in-home lessons all over the Atlanta area, and including an extended residency at the Ben Franklin Academy, where he also teaches various performing ensembles as his touring schedule permits. In that time, Norm has brought his multi-instrumental approach to teaching, offering lessons on saxophone and woodwinds, guitar, electric bass, and beginning piano. Many of Norm's students have gone on to form their own bands, and start successful careers in recording and songwriting. Some have also gone on to study music at universities, including the world renowned Berklee College, and his own alma mater, Georgia State.

A natural musical improviser, Norm specializes in making the more technical aspects of music-making approachable and fun. Students of all levels of ability have benefited from his fun, personal approach, his use of what he calls "practical theory", and his extensive knowledge of historically popular and current popular methods of recording sounds. No matter where a student is in their musical journey, there's always something they can do to make music "theirs".

Norm's students typically start at around 10 years of age, and many continue all the way through high school, and even on to college. Some even receive tutoring in music theory, and recording.
